RefreshLift™ is Dr. Phillip Dahan’s signature alternative to the conventional facelift. He employs proven advanced suturing techniques designed to refresh your appearance with minimal downtime, discomfort or risk. RefreshLift™ is a minimally invasive outpatient procedure that elegantly lifts and tightens the loose skin, fat, and muscle of the face and neck, refreshing your appearance and instantly restoring your natural beauty. Through well hidden incisions in front and behind the ears, and occasionally above the ears, limited dissection under the skin is performed and the superficial muscular aponeurotic system (SMAS) as well as the cheek fat and neck muscle (platysma) are lifted using a directional suturing technique. This allows for more precise repositioning and tightening of these tissues, limiting tension on the skin, thus preventing unsightly scars and resulting in a more natural, refreshed appearance.

The procedure is performed under local anesthesia with sedation (“twilight”), or general anesthesia in some patients, and typically takes less than two hours. Our patients benefit from shorter incisions, less bruising, swelling and anesthesia, as well as fewer medications, and a more rapid recovery compared to other facelift techniques.

It is essentially a modified version of the RefreshLift™ which lifts and tightens the deep tissues of the face as well as the skin, but requires shorter incisions and less dissection. Our patients experience significantly less bruising, swelling or discomfort, and use fewer medications than other techniques. It is ideal for patients whom desire a more subtle refreshed appearance at a more affordable price. Most patients undergoing Dr. Dahan’s MiniLift will be able to drive themselves home after surgery and return to work in one to three days.
