JUVÉDERM®
JUVÉDERM is a popular dermal filler brand that is FDA-approved and is made with hyaluronic acid to provide buffering in the joints, moisture in the skin, and lubrication in the eyes. Because hyaluronic acid gets absorbed by the body as time goes on, it makes sense to use this ingredient to fill in lines and wrinkles as well as restore volume in areas of the face that appear sunken in. JUVÉDERM is used to treat patients seeking a youthful restoration to the face, providing a natural looking more radiant appearance.
Restylane®
Restylane is an injectable gel filler made of hyaluronic acid that is best used to fill in areas of the face that have lost volume such as the cheeks or the chin. One of the biggest specificities of Restylane is that its texture is more granular than JUVÉDERM’s smoothness, making it ideal for facial contouring and redefining angles and overall face shape.

Who Is a Good Candidate for Facial Fillers?
Ideal candidates are those who are in overall good health, have reached and can maintain their ideal body weight, and do not have underlying health conditions. How Long Will My Results Last?
Results will vary from patient to patient and are dependent on the type of filler you are treated with, however, most facial filler results can last anywhere from two months to five years. With the proper care, maintenance, and treatment, filler results can last several years.
What Is the Recovery Process Like?
Depending on the type of filler you get, most facial fillers have a recovery time of two days. While some patients may experience soreness at the injection site, most can return to their normal lifestyles after this time. Some filler procedures are so quick and simple that they are called “lunchtime hour fillers” because patients can get them done in as little as thirty minutes with little to no downtime.
What Are the Risks of Facial Fillers?
Facial fillers, just as with any other type of injections, do come with some risks and side effects. These can include bruising, redness, soreness, swelling, itching, rashes, stretching of the skin, and weakness in the muscles over time.
